cropped-Henn-163_3967.jpgI’m Jeff the creator of jeffsmithfitness.com. I would like to personally thank you for coming to my website. I hope you find the content informative and relevant to your fitness goals.

The objective of this site is to share my knowledge of fitness with you so you can improve your quality of life. I want it to be clear, concise, and as common-sense as possible. Sometimes the information can get overwhelming. When all else fails just remember one key principle: K.I.S.S or Keep It Super Simple! Fitness isn’t rocket science, in fact, it pretty much comes down to one key word: Balance. I don’t mean stand on one-foot balance. I mean balance within your life, your body, and your workouts.

I think it’s important to clarify that this is not simply a hobby for me but a lifelong passion. Exercise and fitness have always been a major part of my life and I find great joy in sharing my knowledge and training with others. Nothing is more satisfying than seeing a client achieve what they never thought possible. All it takes is the right guidance and anything is attainable.

A little background on my credentials

Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from Louisiana Tech University

Certified Exercise Physiologist with the American College of Sports Medicine

Aerobics and Fitness Association of America APEX certification

Red Cross Certified Swim Instructor

For the last 8 years, I have worked as a trainer with a broad spectrum of clients ranging from senior citizens to collegiate athletes to regular Joes. Each one has their own challenges, but I enjoy working with them all. One thing they all have in common is they see results! All I do is provide the framework.

    It was great to visit your website. I found some very helpful information that I will incorporate into my personal training. I have been interesting in healthy and fitness for a long time. A divorce proceeding in 2011 slowed things do a bit due to the stress associated, thats another story. It has taken me 3 years to get myself back into it and I have jumped in with both feet. I have been researching everything.

    I have been a firefighter / paramedic for over 20 years. I know it is a very important part of the profession to remain healthy and in shape. Recently I complete a fitness Instructor course for firefighters. It was a good introduction in becoming a lead instructor for new firefighting recruit. I plan on continuing down this road. The one thing that will make this difficult is my age, 48 currently. This is an obstacle I will overcome. I have seen guys in their 60’s do it. This gives me extra motivation.

    I was glad to find this website. I will be returning in the future to see how it develops.

      Hi Ken! I’m glad you found the site helpful. I know stress and other factors can get in the way of taking care of ourselves but that’s the most important time to be at the top of our game. I’m glad you will be able to use this information to help you with your profession. It takes time to get the content put together as there are so many aspect and exercise and fitness. Soon(hopefully) I should have enough for someone to follow a four week diet and exercise plan that will make you feel 10 years younger! 🙂 thanks again and keep checking back!
